XoftSpy, by Pareto Logic, is a new product targeted at the removal of spyware and adware. The product has been developed for the windows platform, for all common versions: windows 98, ME, 2000, and Windows XP.
The usability test performed shows that the program is very intuitive to use. The main interface shows the options of scanning the system, defining settings, defining backups of important files, and creating an ignore list.
The ignore list is very comprehensive: the user can define what programs or files are legitimate files, and should not be removed after the scan. This is a very useful feature, since many adware removal tools get confused with files that look like or have the same name of known spyware programs.
